A Vision Shaped by the Okanagan
Over forty years ago, our Proprietor Anthony von Mandl gazed across the Okanagan’s rolling hills and sunlit valleys and envisioned a world-class wine region in the making. Guided by that unwavering conviction, he nurtured the land and shaped Mission Hill Family Estate into a beacon of global acclaim.
A crown jewel of this vision, our Border Vista vineyard has produced top-quality grapes for over two decades, rivaling the finest in Bordeaux, Napa, and Italy. While nature brings its trials, we meet them with resilience, each challenge inspiring the next chapter in our story of excellence.

Nature Tests Our Resolve
The 2024 Challenge
In January 2023, the Okanagan endured a brutal cold front that plunged temperatures to -22 degrees for three relentless days. Despite tireless efforts from our vineyard teams, the freeze proved catastrophic, inflicting damage on our deep-rooted vines.
Yet, in this humbling moment, we found renewed purpose. Rather than marking an end, it became an opportunity to adapt, evolve, and honour the legacy of the vines that have given us so much.

Renewal in the Okanagan
Celebrating Nature’s Cycle and Revitalizing Our Legacy
Undeterred by nature’s setback, we embraced the cycle of renewal that has always defined the Okanagan. Our fallen vines did not simply vanish; they were returned to the soil as biochar, feeding the land and preparing it for the next generation of vineyards. This act of restoration reaffirms our belief that each setback can be transformed into a stepping stone for future success.
Inspired by Anthony von Mandl’s pioneering spirit, we look ahead with confidence, knowing that every challenge fortifies our commitment to excellence and our ambition to see the Okanagan recognized among the great wine regions of the world.

A Harvest Reimagined
Global Friendships
At Mission Hill, we’ve always believed that great wine is as much about the people behind it as it is about the vineyards. Over four decades, our family winery has forged enduring bonds with winegrowing families worldwide who share our commitment to exceptional vineyards. When the extreme cold of 2024 threatened our harvest, we called upon this extended family of vintners for support, and they responded generously, offering both encouragement and extraordinary fruit.
The result is a limited series of wines that unite the finest global terroirs with our signature precision, creating a uniquely Mission Hill experience that transcends borders while remaining firmly rooted in the Okanagan.
Global Collaboration, Crafted at Mission Hill
Though grown beyond our valley, these grapes are being vinified right here in the Okanagan under our watchful eye, ensuring the signature Mission Hill Family Estate style remains intact.
