Mission Hill Family Estate is pleased to once again offer a series of culinary events that will delight both the novice and the culinary connoisseur. Winery Chef Michael Allemeier will lead the classes, which will be interactive as well as informative. As one of the hosts of the Food Network's Cook Like a Chef series, Chef Allemeier will share insider knowledge about the ingredients and techniques that are essential to the creation of great cuisine. Sharing the hosting duties will be Terrace Chef Matt Batey, come and enjoy Matt's passion and skills in the kitchen. Participants will be encouraged to ask questions and to sample the dishes Chef Allemeier and Batey prepare. All classes will take place in our state-of-the-art Kitchen Theatre and will be approximately three hours in length.
The schedule for the 2009 spring culinary events includes "encore" performances of several favourites from last year that have been brought back by popular demand. The classes have sold out quickly, so reserve your space soon! In addition to the "encore" classes we are excited to bring a guest Chef Bal Arneson, who will be cooking healthy East Indian recipes from her new book "Everyday Indian". Plus, Chef Warren Geraghty from the restaurant West, will be cooking from his new book to celebrate the Spring Wine Festival. Chef Geraghty's event will be a dinner in the Chagall Room.
