VINEYARD PROFILE
OSOYOOS VINEYARD ESTATE

The Osoyoos Estates are significantly impacted by their proximity to Osoyoos Lake. This large body of water provides a moderating influence on the climate, resulting in earlier ripening and a longer growing season, with a much larger number of frost-free days.

Overhead irrigation, with water pumped from Lake Osoyoos, is used to water the vines, ensuring cooling on the hottest summer days and frost protection in early spring and late fall. Irrigation management is very important because it enables us to control the development of the vine.

Soil type is sand and sandy loam.
